I came to Victoria as a tourist in Feb 2016 and the lovely Americano at Bean Around the World helped influence my decision to move here permanently. I'm a big fan of the coffee (my favorite espresso roast on earth) and the atmosphere. Room for improvements are the selections of sweets and consistent presentation. In my experience, sometimes the baristas pour lovely art... and other times they just dump everything into a cup and you sit down beside someone with something aesthetic and learn you ordered the same thing.

I went to Bean Around the World for the first time the other day and had a great experience! I got a cheese scone which was amazing (made me want to order another one) and a pumpkin pie chai latte which wasn’t my favourite thing, but I have a feeling I’d enjoy their coffee more. It was a little difficult to get around the shop with the amount of people in it and how the tables were set up… but other than that it was a lovely experience and I can see myself coming back here to try again! (Especially for those scones).

The coffee is first-rate, the sandwiches are tasty, and the staff is friendly. The whole place has a cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, the café (and possibly the entire block) seems to have a rodent problem.

Such a cozy little spot! The coffee was one of the best I’ve had and the snacks were delicious. The atmosphere is so welcoming, it’s the kind of café you just want to keep coming back to.
